Olaplex is all the rage… but does it really work?!
If you wash your hair, you have probably heard of Olaplex. Olaplex numbers one and two are for professional, in salon use only. Olaplex numbers zero and three through eight are for clients to take home. The products all contain millions of disulfide bonds (proteins) that penetrate damaged hair to repair it from the inside out. It repairs damage from thermal, chemical, mechanical, and environmental factors. While it is designed to work on all hair types, you’re probably wondering if it’s right for you. To answer that question as simply as possible- start by asking yourself if you have any damage from the above factors. If you answered yes to any of them you may definitely want try out some the products! If you answered no to all of them it is probably not for you, excess protein can also cause damage and weaken the hair. As always the best way to know if your hair needs Olaplex treatments is to visit your stylist and get their at home care instructions and recommendactions!
